Another great tactic is what I call the “half quote”. This is when someone quotes part of a sentence, out of context so as to change its meaning. i have been reading a book my hubby recommended to me- man's search for meaning - by viktor frankl.

very good book.

he is a survivor of nazi concentration camps and it's not just another grisly tale of horrors of cc life.

I believe that some people will never "belong". Whether in the weirdest cult or in "normal" surroundings, right where they were born or far away from home, they will always feel strange.

I have been "out" for almost 20 years now and have still only managed to experience brief but beautiful moments of "belonging," even here at JWD.

I have yet to find that elusive sense of "belonging" and "home" and "normal" (though I'm not that interested in normal, to be honest). I may very well always feel "stange"--wherever I go, whoever I'm with--and I am beginning to be ok with that...but just barely.

When you pray to God, who answers your prayers, Jesus or Jehovah?

13 also, whatever it is that you ask in my name, i will do this, in order that the father may be glorified in connection with the son.

so is it correct to say that if we ask jehovah something in prayer, it's jesus that will grant the prayer, since he said "if you ask in my name, i will do it"?.

i always thought that it was jehovah whom we pray to, and he was the one who would answer our prayer, not jesus.

UPDATE ON MY DAD

thank you so much for your support and pms......much appreciated.

we got my dad to the hospital where they administered the clot-busting drug and yes, it was done within the 3 hour time frame.

it was a very serious stroke but so far he has responded extremely well.
